Leave the car behind! Bogojina offers a classic, welcoming village atmosphere. You can stroll down the road to pick up fresh ingredients at the local village shop, drop off postcards at the post office, or enjoy a casual dinner at the village pizzeria. If you want to mingle with the friendly locals, there are two classic village bars perfect for a morning coffee or a relaxing evening drink.

Just a 5-minute drive brings you to one of the region’s premier attractions: a massive, world-class Water Park & Thermal Spa (Terme 3000). Plečnik’s “White Dove” Church
The true crown jewel of the village is Bogojina’s striking parish church, The Church of the Ascension. Built between 1925 and 1927, it was designed by the legendary Slovene architect Jože Plečnik, who is celebrated for shaping modern Ljubljana.
Plečnik affectionately integrated the village’s older historical structure into his new design rather than tearing it down. Locally nicknamed the “White Dove” because of its distinct white tower, its absolute highlight sits inside—Plečnik beautifully decorated the flat wooden ceiling of the nave using authentic, handmade clay pottery created by Bogojina’s own local craftsmen.
